The 2022 edition of Tesla Impact Reports had a page on the result of Universum Global’s survey of where engineers like to work. Universum Global is a 30 year employer branding company and help companies connect with talent. Engineers and computer scientists are the creative professionals that develop future products for a company and are valuable assets. Attracting top talent is a key component for a company’s success. Companies that attract the best talent direct their talent to come up with breakthrough products that provide the best performance at the lowest cost and to bring products out at the fastest pace.

Tesla came in at #2 behind Space X. Apple, Google, and Microsoft came in at 6,7,8 respectively. Universum’s report also included a ranking of companies for Compute Science majors. Tesla was overtaken by Amazon but remains solidly within the top 10 landing at #5 and Amazon #4. Google, Apple, and Microsoft kept the positions at 1, 2, 3 respectively. Facebook is also unchanged at #8.
