January 2nd 2025, Tesla released its production and delivery for Q4 2024. Tesla Q4 2024 produced 459,445 and delivered 495,570. For all of 2024, they made 1,773,443 and delivered 1,789,226. These numbers are short of the 1.81M deliveries in 2023. Q4 2023 had 484,507 deliveries. Analysts expectation was for 504,770 deliveries. Q4 2024 earnings report is scheduled for 1/29/2025. There is strong EV competition from BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, GM, Ford, Rivian, Hyundai, BYD, NIO, Xpeng, Zeekr, LiAuto, Huawei-backed Aito and Xiaomi.
Xiaomi for example delivered over 100,000 for 2024 on the strength of it SU7 sedan alone.
BYD delivered 504,003 total vehicles in November and will exceed annual target of 3.6M.
For November Zeekr delivered 27,011, Xpeng delivered 30,895, and Nio delivered 20,575, Li Auto delivered 48,740. Huawei-backed Aito delivered over 180,000 of M7.
