Q1’23 saw Model S/X deliveries drop significantly with deliveries significantly deviating from production rate. It is lower than previous quarter and the same quarter a year ago. As these are higher price cars, it may be more impacted by interest rates. In addition these high price cars are not eligible for EV credits.

Q1’23 Model 3/Y looks much better than Model S/X. Model 3/Y achieved record deliveries and production. This may be due to Europe and US EV credits and the large price reductions for these models.

Tesla also tweeted on April 2nd, 2023, Giga Texas has achieved 4,000/week production rate.
