Tesla has lowered its Full Self Driving (Supervised) package to $99 from $199. This big drop in price in theory should attract more buyers as the price is now more affordable. Even though driver eyes need to focus on the road and hands on the steering wheel, this copilot driver assistance makes drive less stressful and tiring. To gain additional revenue, the new additional subscribers would have to double its current subscribers. If it had 400,000 subscribers, it needs 800,000 subscribers to break even. Then any additional subscriber is new revenue. Reason is current subscribers now pay half price. This lower priced subscription pricing may also deter some buyers from buying FSD lifetime access for $12,000 as $99/month means you need to own the car for over 10 years to have any advantage over paying for lifetime access.
